Adult CircusBelfast Community Circus School has been running a session for adults every Wednesday night for the past ten years. This session caters for a mixture of professionals and hobbyists.
The class operates as a structured session comprising of: -games, a warm up, one hours tuition (for example juggling, acrobatics or trapeze), conditioning and cool down, with juice and biscuits to finish. It is not compulsory to partake in the hour’s tuition, and this allows people of differing skill levels the freedom to make use of the class.

Professional Training
To date, the biggest training initiative staged by Belfast Community Circus was an eight month full time course called "Into The Future" (September 1999-May 2000). This course was aimed at significantly raising the standard of circus in Northern Ireland with a view to increasing the number of circus teachers working
with the community and also to raising the number of professional performers in Northern Ireland.
Twenty students trained full time in Acrobatics, Aerial, Juggling, Clowning and Tutoring skills. At the end of the course, they all graduated and 19 of them have since gone on to choose circus as their profession.
This has resulted in Belfast Community Circus School being able to deliver many more projects and to stage many more performances than prior to the course running.
Tutors on the course were brought in from Canada, Australia, America, Hawaii, England and the Republic, ensuring that students were exposed to some of the best examples of practice from around the world.
Currently, Belfast Community Circus is investigating the possibility of staging another course. Any developments will be posted on this site.
